How does the New System work?

Site Development:

Rather than collect storm water in a detention pond on the development site, Lenexa will utilize the vegetation and natural features of the development site to begin treating the storm water. Individual detention ponds will be replaced by natural swales and channels to carry the water to detention facilities shared by a number of developments.
