What if No Change is Made?

In addition to the directives from the community in the Vision 2020 process, the Clean Water Act was a major driver behind this new approach. Phase II of the Clean Water Act requires communities such as Lenexa to consider not just storm water run off as a cause for flooding and erosion but also as a contributor to water pollution. Therefore, the city will be required by the Clean Water Act to develop a storm water management program to address water quality in 2003. Lenexa is getting a head start on complying with this federal requirement.
