How does the New System work?

Riparian Greenways:

Riparian greenway areas will connect the shared detention systems, regional retention basins downstream. Riparian greenways are existing streams with green space along either side. They allow storm water to flow naturally without obstruction while removing contaminents in the water using natural vegetation. This will mean that buildings will need to be set back further from stream ways which will reduce property damage due to erosion. Along the streams, trails will be built so citizens can enjoy the water and protected wildlife habitat.
