Waterfest
Celebrate it, respect it, learn to protect it.
The City of Lenexa staff would like to offer a huge thank you to all of Waterfest’s attendees, exhibitors, sponsors and friends. The event was a huge success because of the contributions of the entire community!
What is Waterfest?
Waterfest is a day for Lenexa residents to join together to celebrate water. A free event, Waterfest offers numerous interactive, educational booths that provide water quality, stormwater and other environmental information, as well as entertainment and many water-related activities that appeal to all ages.

When is it?
The 12th annual Waterfest will be in 2011. More details to come later!

What can I do there?
More than 30 different booths and activities are planned, including paddle boats, canoeing, cane-pole fishing, waterslides, wacky water games, moonwalks, Lenexa Fire Department Deluge and more. Entertainment includes Operation Wildlife, Ernie Miller Nature Center, The Kansas City Zoo’s Zoomobile and local band the Ruskin Quartet.

Passport program
Visit every booth for a chance to win great prizes. Every guest at Waterfest will receive a passport to carry around to the educational booths.
